Replaced my stock '92's unit with Kenwood electric/black flip face--kinda trick to watch that face spin around!! Want to add more, ie CD Changer---BUT WHERE!!!! Other than the rear cargo(where I actually have stuff stored), where can I stick the changer and amp I have in mind.

Keep in mind that I fold the seats down often, and use the entire back area. Is there any room on the opposite side of the storage cubby? Can it be accessed?

Thanks for your advice in advance!!

Someone on this board did manage to get a Changer on the opposite side of the cubby hole. It was a tight fit they said, and I believe that it involved removing the rear washer fluid canister or finding a smaller one to replace it though. Most people are just putting it in the center console.

There is lots of room in the rear passenger (cubby) side to mount an amp behind the panel. Especially if you remove the factory amp.
Re: mounting CD changer.. If you have a center console, it can be done but is will take some cutting and supporting of the arm rest mounting bracket within the console. Aside from that I can't think of anywhere that will not obstruct the fold down rear seat and cargo area.
One thought... You could mount it on the back of the rear seat with a catch clip setup that will allow you to remove the unit and set it to the side when you need to fold down the seat.

Sorry it took me so long to answer this. Been busy with the new job. Ok here goes.

AMPS.
-----
The best mounting location I have found for amps is behind the kick pannel on the passanger side rear seating area.
This is below the rear speaker. I have 2 amps there myself. A Rockford 200a4 and a Crossfire 200. If you mount them there you cant see them so it helps to hide your rocking system from "Prying" eyes. The only down side to that is if you need to adjust the amps at all, you have to remove the pannel again to get to them.

CD CHANGER
----------
It is possible to mount a CD Changer in the rear bay NEXT to the rear resivour. You must remove the resivour temporarily first to gain access to the space next to it and to mount the changer. After it's mounted you should be able to access the changer itself easily. I dont think you can fit a 12 back there but a 6 should fit just fine.

Hope this answers your questions.

Don't forget about under the pass. & driver seats for amps and changers. There is room there as well. I have my amp under the rear seat, pass. side.

Thanks a million.......

Thanks for all the advice and heads up on mounting areas, I would have missed mounting amps behind the kick panels on the passenger doors. In a couple of weeks, I'll post the results of the installation.

CD Changer Mounting Location

Hey I was thinking of putting mine right on top of the fender hump on the passenger side in the cargo area. I don't think it will get in the way of anything.
