The "arm rest" console top in my Explorer is ripped. The bone yards around here for some reason do not seem to have a replacement. Is there a good source out there for items such as this? Thanks.

I have the same problem. I would also like to know. Thank you.

I had that happen to me, but I did end up finding one in a bone yard. Even though it took me almost 2hrs in the bone yard and lots of phone calls..

They had lots here. Close to Pa ?

:chug:

I thought someone from here was selling one a couple of weeks ago in the for sale area

i had mine reupholstered for cheap from my uncles shop... so maybe that's a solution... upholstery shops shouldn't charge much....

Its really easy to fix it yourself. All you have to do is remove about 6 screws, take the old vinyl off, put new vinyl back on with a staple gun, and its done. Easy, takes maybe half an hour, and a lot cheaper then the $60 I've seen new tops going for on Ebay. If I remember right, it costs about $150 from the dealer new.

I would reupholster it like said before. Thats what I did and it worked very good and it only cost $3

I bought mine on Ebay for a good price. I just kept watching for my color - a common gree. THis one was cheaper than others because it had a small repair. I did not consider re-covering because the plastic frame was cracked - check yours. It crack pretty easy if a kid (or adult) kneels on it.
