Where is Starter on 92 Ford Crown Victoria

Hello guys. Major problem, friends starter went on his car. Cannot find the starter at all, any clue where it is on the 92. I told him I replace it if we can find it. Places up here are trying to charge him $350 to do it and I said I do it for free. I have done them on F150 but can not find where it is on this car. Please help, Thanks.

you should be able to find it if you look hard enough. i can't remember if the 92's had the 5.0 or the 4.6.

if its the 4.6 the starter is gonna be significantly smaller then one on an F-150.....plus its not gonna be out in the open.

if i can remember right the starter is on the left side on a 4.6

Is it on the engine or is it down low. Trying to find it but have not been able to find it yet. Will look tomorrow in the light. Should I be looking from underneath or above, I am pretty sure it has the 4.6

Just a tip: If you can't find a starter, you aren't qualified to replace it!!!

Well I looked quickly and I had nice cloths on, and I do a lot repairs on my car. Sorry did not climb down in nice cloths to do it.

you can definitely find it from underneath.......put some rags on
