where is the aic on a 97 v6 xlt sohc?

I Think you are reffering to the Idle Air Control?

If so, it is located in the Red Box shown here:

The above posted picture is for the V-6 OHV. The IAC forthe V-6 SOHC is located directly under the plastic housing covering the intake manifold. The IAC will be directly under the "SOHC" lettering.

thanks,i did find it,but then it started running worse i just dropped it off at the dealer for them to do.thanks for your help everyone
