where is the vss on 2000 sport

hey guys my abs light has went off and i have already had the codes read and they basically said rear speed sensor ckt fault and rear speed sensor sig not identified. ok here is my question on my truck it looks like a little plug in the diff cover and it is magnetic now every where i go they try and sell me the one that goes into the tranny are they right or am i thank you all in advance and happy easter

Yours in on the rear diff. All the models up till 1998 had them in the tranny/tcase.

thank you for the quick reply now where can i find one even the local ford dealer is trying to sell me the tranny one i actually had one parts place tell me that what i had in my hands was a cam sensor he about flipped out when i told him i came from the diff and once again thank you all
