Where on earth are the VSS sensors ??

Hi everyone. I have an Australian 2002 Explorer V8 ltd, 5spd auto independant susp. I assume it is the very same as the US model. Can anyone help me locate the VSS sensors. I have unplugged both front ABS sensors, unplugged the whole wiring loom to the transfer case at the rear of the transmission and even unplugged the sensor on top of the rear differential. Yet still the speedo works, could it be magic? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know about your 2002 but on my 1996 it is on the tailpiece of the tranny or on the xfr case. Look for a two wire connector going into the sensor. The sensor is held in by one 10mm bolt if i remember correctly.
