I've crawled all under the dash on this and I just can't find it. I have a vague diagram that says it's on the left somewhere (which doesn't make sense to me - it should be on the right, right?) I have the wire colors I'm looking for and everthing - but I just can find the darn plug/resistor pak!!!!

Any help is appreciated. It's a 2000 EB AWD. Thanks!!!

Isn't it under the hood by the blower motor?

I know that's where it is on older Ford passenger cars, but I couldn't find it there. There is a wiring clip to the motor under the hood with 2 large gauge wires that lead back to never-never land in the harness. I wasn't able to trace it reliably.

I'll answer my own question here. After some extensive digging and moving stuff, I found it. If you are looking at the blower motor housing on the passenger side under the hood, the resistor is attached to this housing at about the 4-5 o'clock position. It's hard to find because of all the junk in the way.

To remove it, I had to pull the cruise module off the fender, the overflow and washer reservoirs and the top of the air filter housing plus unplug the maf sensor. Certainly not a simple access item. Not a cheap part either. It's a dealer only part that cost me $57 and change.

But, it works now so I guess that's the good news.
