Im planning on painting my explorer since the roof is all patched up with spray can primer because of rust. I have fiberglass covering the holes the rust made, but the fiberglass is peeling off, again and well this time I want to do it right and weld on some sheet metal to cover up the holes. I know that it would look ridiculous if I paint only the roof the original color and leave the rest of the body with the same color but scratched up and what not..

Ok so to the point, I've searched online for automotive paint, but the only site I would trust from buying off of is amazon but Im not sure about the paint brands..I want to paint my entire ex. (body, bumpers, and trim) a glossy black..I am new to painting and this will be my first car that I will paint..I was going to originally paint it burgundy/maroon but I had second thoughts and am thinking of "murdering out" my ex...

Anyone know of a trustworthy site where I can buy the paint from?

And since Im planning on painting it black, does it matter if I dont sand off all the paint till I see the metal? Can I still paint it if I just remove the clearcoat?

Well POR-15 now makes UV resistant top coats. I cannot think of a better paint to do the entire vehicle in. You can buy from their website.

por-15 is the websites name?

Colors. There is also a clear coat that would make the paint job pop.

I really want to see what an Ex looks like clad in Hard-Nose.

im a noob here but do some painting and found these guys to be reasonably priced with good tech support by phone and a good selection of paints and supplies.
