2011 Explorer Limited
Does anyone know where or if there's an available download of the 2011 Explorer's Owner's manual?

I have a Limited on order and I like the geeky practice of reading the manual cover to cover before delivery. Since there are almost no visible 2011 Explorers here in Vancouver, Canada, I'm left with trolling forums, wearing out the brochure, and playing with the iPad app (only available from the US iTunes store, BTW).

My dealer downloaded one from a web site (and burnt it onto a disc), since mine was missing upon delivery of my new Limited. He wanted to make sure I have something while we wait for a new one to be ordered through the parts department.

I like your style, regarding reading the manual prior to taking ownership. It's a LONG read, beware!:)

Go here. Fill out the info for the Explorer and enjoy your reading. Note there are several pdf's to download.

gandalf pointed you to the ford owners site where if you fill in your vin, there is more to be had than just the owners manual...

list of all service done by any dealer, etc.... worth the effort to look at it ...

A bit disappointed in the ford.owner site. It only has generic information; it does not include any details on the Extended Service Warranty that I purchased with the vehicle, only the basic Ford factory warranty. I would have thought that since I provided my VIN, all info specific to my vehicle would have been available. I was hoping to see the service history on the vehicle from the original owner so that I would know if it had been properly maintained.

if it's not listed, then it was probably not done at a ford shop or the dealer didn't enter it as such....

If you want disappointed, try getting an Audi, there is NOTHING online and you have to pay for manuals, etc...

so far am happy with ford's posting the manuals, now when I need to find something I can just search the soft copy :)

If you bought the Explorer from the original dealer I'm sure they would have a record of any maintenance done on it. If you bought it elsewhere, I would think that any Ford dealership would be able to get the info you are after by running the VIN, assuming they are all hooked into the same network.

Hi RossRagan,

I can verify your ESP if you send me your VIN in a PM. You can get your vehicle's service history records from the dealership that performed the service.

The first link produces the same error.
The second link works for the manuals but it is the same Owner's Guide as I provided the link for in my post #7 above.
