I have seriously trying to solve problem with Code P0345 and P0349. I replaced cam sensor with Ford OEM. I checked resistance on sensor at 349, 000 ohms. I verified that the motor is in correct timing by removing cam cover. Then re-timed both banks. I also checked cam distance from phaser(Phaser was OEM and replaced about 2000 miles ago. I replaced the VCT at the same time}. I tested the VCT and installed the old unit to test. Did not stop P0345/P0349 codes.
I tested the cam sensor plug and have 12.2 volts on one pin. None on the other pin. I have purchased replacement wiring socket but have not installed to wiring loom.

So, I am trying to test wire continuity from the cam sensor socket to PCM. But for life of me, I cannot determine which pin location for the "Bank 2" cam sensor. Looking at the wiring diagram, I need to find pin# 10 & 13 if I read the diagram correctly.

I have printed out the wiring diagram, but I do not know where pin #1 is located. I have tried several times, using a small diameter wire. So far no "Continuity" for either pin on the socket.

Now .... Allow me to include a thought to minimize and eliminate VCT/Phaser by installing a CAM Block on both banks. I am assuming, that the cam block would eliminate my codes P0345 & P0349.
IF so, I read a reduced MPG at higher RPM. That is fine by me, as I drive only 58-62 MPH ( about1600 RPM ). But I do not want to have lower gas mileage at lower speeds.
I would appreciate any input using the "Cam Block"

John
