where to get a good tranny?

my 93' XLT s transmisiion busted i was wondering if you guys had any advise on where to get a good but cheap one also what are your thoughts on used transmissions

Get a transmission out of an old V6 camaro, or an old blazer/S10. Then go to advanceadpaters.com and buy the necessary parts.

If you have an automatic its the A4LD. There is not a good one. I would swap in a C4/C5, but its not just bolt in and its not an OD. I would never buy a used transmission unless I bought with the intention of rebuilding it. If thats the case, just rebuild the one you have. Go to Glaciers rebuild diary for specifics of whats involved there.

The ch**y transimission is an option, but the advanced adapter is a huge cost. I have not looked recently, but I think about $700.
