Where to get a tranny vacuum modulator?

I called my local parts store and they said only Ford carries them. Any other suggestions?

Try bulkpart.com. They have the (preferred) adjustable one with a wheel (not a screw which is impossible to get to once installed) for $18.99. LOTS of other trannie parts at Bulkpart.com.

Another vote for bulkpart.com... But if you get the wheel-adjustable model, don't adjust it. I did and I think that helped break my A4LD. Yeah, the superchip + high shifting combo was fun for a while, then I lost 2nd and 3rd gear. And believe me, trying to drive around town by winding out 1st and then slowly accelerating/cruising in 4th so that it doesn't try to downshift is not fun at all.
