Does anyone know where I can get the new MileMarker hubs for the Explorer? My auto hubs are shot and I want to change them out and figured I would give the MileMarkers a try. I went to our local Auto Zone and they looked at me like I was an idiot and said they didn't carry them and never had. I explained they were listed on the stores web sight and even gave them a part number but they still said they couldn't help me. I went to 3 different stores and got the same thing every time. Thanks

Zim-
I went through the same thing about a month ago. Summit will order them for you if you can stand to wait a month, but I couldn't and ended up with Warns instead. many people on this site recommend them highly and, aside from having to drag my lazy arse outside the truck when I get stuck in my never-plowed apartment parking lot, I have no complaints myself.

hope this helps

Autozone

I got mine from Autozone today. Ordering was not a problem. I printed out the web site information just to be sure, but they pulled them up on the computer without any head scratching.

I think they called it lock out hubs or something like that. MM drop shipped them direct to the store overnight by FedEx.

The jury is still out on whether I'll install them (mm). Side by side with the Warn hubs, the MM look a little cheaper. I'm afraid the o-ring grove is not right on the MM set. The Warn set looks good and probably worth the extra $35 cost. Both sets use that same spindle nut kit.

Group Purchase

Check out the Group Purchase section for more details about buying Mile Marker Hubs. I'm going to do a group purchase direct from MileMarker for about $105 per pair.

Really. Summit and others told me Mile Marker does not make any for these years of Explorers. I told them I had an Explorer because 99% of the population does not know what a Navajo is. Anyway, I have no complaints about my Warns. Their customer service is Outstanding! I have only broken one which was not the hubs fault. I have heard that the MM's are excellent but are they really for the Dana 35's or 28?

Mile Marker Hub Availability

As you might know, Warn designed and patented the hub design on our explorers. Hence Mile Marker could not produce the "patented" design until very recently. I don't know wheter it is because the patent expired or Mile Marker got permission from Warn.

Side-by-side, the hubs look nearly identical. The main difference is the price. I would expect the functional differences are probably minimal. Both hubs are sold with a limited lifetime warranty.
