I am installing a VHF radio (Like a CB) in my 2002 Explorer. Where is the best place to run the wire through the firewall.

Thanks..........Joe

If your ex is a automatic then go to the left of the brake pedal and there should be a rubber plug where the clutch pedal goes for a five speed, put a hole in it and run the wire though there.Later Brad in Iowa

i think it might be different on the 2002 explorer. i dont think there is a manual trans available for the new ones.

just find a safe spot to drill a hole and put a rubber grommet in it.

look under the hood drivers side behind the brake pump
theres a big black cap you can pop it out cut a hole and pop it back in i ran the power cord for my amp there.
i know its not called a brake pump but i cant think of it right now. p s its up high on the firewall

Thanks guys..........TeddyNYC was correct. Piece of cake....EOM
