I checked at JCWhitney and they wanted 59 for the 48" and 64 for the 60". Are those prices about the same where ever you go? I'd like to buy one for myself since no one else will buy it for me! Let me know if anyone knows a better place, thanks!

Best Price for a Hi-Lift Jack = http://4by4connection.com/hiliftjack.html

48" All Cast Jack(Red Jack) HL-485 = $54.95
60" All Cast Jack(Red Jack) HL-605 = $62.95
Bumper Lift BL250 = $18.95

Shipping for me would be no more then $15.00 for UPS Ground

If you have some sort of a farm store in your area (i.e. around here used to be country general or even ace) you can get a much better deal then at a 4x4 shop.

Ace is the place you know... any way that's where I got my 48" for $45! Yeah... I got a pretty good deal.

BTW there are FAKE Hi-lifts out there STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!

I agree with Matt.. You can get them much cheaper from a farm supply store, I payed the $55 for the 48" from JC Whitney then went to the local TSC (Tractor Supply Company) and saw them for $38.99 every day....

Let me Ask this, Did you guys that get them at a Farm Store, get the Black Jack or the Red Jack?

The Black ones are cheaper..... and Weaker....

I'll run out to Farm King today and see what they stock, just to let everyone know.
Pete

So the red ones are the high lift right chris? I did see a black one in a magazine the other day for like 40 bucks. If i go to my local farm store down the road do i ask for a high lift jack or what else are they called? Thanks for all the input so far!!

Hi -lift makes Red and Black ones, but the Red ones are all Cast the Black ones have some Non-Cast parts which maeks them weaker.

there are Fake Red and Fake Black Jacks out there!

Ah, gottcha. So should i stay away from the off brands?

Yes, Stay away from the Fake Jacks.

One day I was looking at a Fake, and it Broke when I tried to operate it. By the way I was holding it in my hands at the time, no weight on it what so ever!

Well about this "fake" bit. I have both a hi-lift brand and a "fake" brand. In my experiences, the "fake" brand has been alot better than the hi-lift brand that i own. It has come in useful on more than one occasion and i have never had a problem with my "fake" brand. Now i have seen some fakes that are total crap but not all of them are bad. Just my $.02

I bought mine at a store called "Big R" for 39.99. It is the all cast 48 inch "real" hilift jack. I doubt anybody has ever heard of those stores, they may be just around here. The jacks at Tracto Supply Co. are not real hi lift jacks, however, they do sell almost all the hi lift brand accessories. (don't ask me why) They may have just been out of the actual hi lift ones when I was there. I bought a "hi lift" mounting kit for 14.99 at TSC. I checked online and it was 10$ more online.

These farm stores are also a good place to pick up other off road items (tow hooks, clevises, chains, cum alongs, etc..........)

Hey everyone, just thoguht i would go ahead and close this out and say that i just ordered one from 4x4connection (thanks Chris) and i also ordered the Loc-Rac so i can secure it so my rack! Thanks everyone!

Happy trailes!
