I can help with this, because I just added a second horn in mine (they sound sissy, dont they?).
It is IMPOSSIBLE to get it. Basically on the driver side, below your headlights, next to a thingy, you will see two rubber lines going into the 'thingy' it is right next to tthat. It has a single blue wire going into it. The horn is a huge pain to get at! Good luck (if you need I'll take pics)
It is actually very easy to get to them if you carefully remove the driver front wheelwell liner. You'll see the horns right there in the front under the battery.
aight thanx guys...i plan on adding a wolf whistle horn to holla at the ladies lol...but im gonna put a toggle switch in so i can still have the factory horn.
Did you just add a second Explorer horn, or what'd you do? I agree the Explorer horns sound sissy and was thinking about adding an air horn, but I don't like the look of them on the Explorers. How does it sound with two horns?
I got a $11 FIAMM E (or D I don't remember, the lowest tone) class horn, and tapped the +12 of the other horn. I ran it over to the passenger side behind the grill in front of the radiator, behind a plastic shield. A good bolt on is the ground. It sounds ALOT better and screams 'pay attention idiot'!
What are the 2 hoses going into the OEM horn on 95+??? Those aren't air horns, are they? Nonetheless my horn is shot and I'm replacing it with some cheap (loud) air horns, and I'm looking to tap the wiring coming off the OEM.
