I am going to be rim shopping, and will be looking at price as well as total look.
Which of the following do you think would be the best balance between look and value?

TRUCK

BART 15X8 ($35)

AMERICAN RACING AR 767 15X8 ($48)

i say go for some of the black ones, the alum or chrome will not look as good on your silver truck

i personally think the american racing rims will look best

The black ones would look nice, they would match the black trim on the truck

I like the balck ones, that's what I have on mine.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say:

Unless you're going with a tire that needs 15x8s, I like the stock nav ones. If not, go with black or maybe the "black chrome" ones.

I think the first black wheel would look best on your truck. My second choice would be the M/T's i really like those.

Alec-You actually make a very good point. A point that I have pondered over and over, however the stockers are getting long in the tooth and starting to show their age, so I think its time to switch.

Redrig-Your the reason I considered the M/T's in the roundup! They look SOO good on your truck! However I think i agree with you (and the rest) on your first choice, the black rims. But well see what others think, as well.

EDIT: Heres a phtoshop of my truck on RedRig's rims/tires. Man that looks awful good! :)

Dunno if it helps, but an old pic:

Cool, I can probably tweak the aspect from an older pic. Thanks man!

EDIT: Ok, heres a quickie of my Nav with Alec's black rims.

Still a hard choice.
Does anyone else have a sideshot with black rims??

Besides color, also think about the weight and durability of steel vs aluminum. And ask yourself if you're gonna feel like keeping chrome clean.

here is a pic of my 91X with the american racing wheels

Alec, another good point you make. Im thinking that im going to go with black rims. $180 for all 4 delivered is one helluva deal.

jr91x-Theres no pic attached.

Cool, thanks man! Nice truck!

Heres a few photochops of my truck with the black AR's.

Check out Bassett Racing Wheels too (www.bassettwheels.com) and do a google for discount bassett, there's some site that had some closeouts, and they were dirt cheap.

I've always liked the look of the black wheel, but then again, my buddy has Classic IIs on his chev and they're super tight.

Can't go wrong with any of them. Nice choices.

OK, ill check em out. Thanks for the info!

EDIT! Man! Those black D Hole racing rims are pretty tight! Good call!

I personally Like the Barts better than the AR ones, I want some of the Bart Chrome ones, but for bout 10 or 20$ more i could get the Classic II's, So i havent quite figured out my Next wheels will be, But msot likely, ill end up with Black wheels, since i dotn feel like Polishing Chrome and Keeping the clean. Have you seen those new AR's that have the Teflon Coating on them for easy Cleaning? I am interested in doing some research on them they have one htat has a nice design and seems like it would be a good idea. I just do not know if they offer its in a 5x4.5" bolt pattern.

PEACE

I like MT's, but im biased.

don't get the kind with the silly pink ring on them if you get black steel ones.
