The 276c seems cool and an awesome gps. I've become such a fan of the touchscreen on the Nuvi. I did buy the vent mount for it from Proclipusa.com. I'll post pics of it when I get it installed.

I have the Z1. Its probably no good off road, but navigation isawesome.

I did a lot of research for about a week looking for a GPS i could use and for a good price. I wasn't to concerned about one that had topo features, although i'm off road everyday for work. I wanted 3 features specifically, 1) able to add my own waypoints 2)able to enter lats/longs and 3)able to leave tracks for backtracking. After all that I just bought a Mio C310X. I LOVE IT. I bought it from Circuit city and when i went to the store it was $299 so i called back home to wife where she got online and paid $199 for it, they couldn't match the price in store, go figure. For anyone looking for a GPS on a budget that works, i'd recommend this one highly!!

Well went to Oregon this weekend and I must say I'm kinda dissapointed in my the 276. The maps on it are vague and it was basically useless compared to the atlas we had. Also doesn't come with a 12v cig adapter for charging on the roads. Plus the thing has so many dam sub menus in sub menus!!

Ok this thing is pretty usless. I can't find maps to down load or purchase. The frickin thing doesn't show all the roads just major ones. Most the time according to the gps screen I'm in the middle of no where cause the maps suck so much!!!!!! It's a pain in the arse to map something. I thought I did my research but apparently not!

Ok rant over!

Where did you buy it from?

Not sure if I answere you. I got it from Amazon. And it didn't come with a cig adaper that was another $23.

I use microsoft Streets and Maps 2007 with their Pharos 360 gps receiver. I like it. I can't complain much about it except having to lug the laptop around.

For walking I just got the Garmin etrex Vista cx........its awesome. Maps are expensive to add though, unless can download them for free:D . But I didn't do that;)
