Kenwood

More $$ Kenwood

Clarion

More $$ Clarion

the more $$ clarion is kind of a reach, but still a possibility if it turns out to be that good. thanks.

i'd like to add this one cuz i found a pretty good deal on it:

yep, exactly. thats why i am really looking at that last clarion with the touch screen. i can get it on ebay with a sirius sattelite tuner included for $450 shipped. expensive, but not for that setup.

I just bought the Clarion DB245 from Crutchfield. I'm happy with it so far. Has the features I need. I hate the new headunits now days with all the color & useless flashing lights. I don't need to pay for radio(xm), I don't care about mp3's so that's why I have the basic Clarion. But it sounds great to me.

thats actually quite similar in looks to the DXZ745MP, just has less features. but looks like you got a good deal on a nice clarion.

Yeah I looked at the specs & they all look the same accross the line. Ony difference is features, & 2 or so more watts. They all should sound the same.

the DXZ745MP has 3 sets of 4 volt preamps too, good for outside amps.

Ive been lookin at that 1st Clairon too. I like it, and its in my price range. However, for some reason, I have been partial to XM Radio. Ive just heard better things about it. But would someone help me feel better about Sirus cause i like the idea of a free tuner.
Thanks

just check out sirius's website and compare them. i did a little research and it seems that if sports and rock 'n' roll is what you like, sirius is the way to go. those are my likes. as for the free tuner, the heck with crutchfield. i used them to help show the features. i'm reallt getting whatever i choose off ebay. i figured if you get the first calrion, the 645 model, a sirius tuner, and a sirius antenna, all brand neww, you can get them for $300 shipped. thats what crutchfield wants not including shipping or an antenna. ebay is your friend, trust me.
