Ford explorer
Hi I'm very new to all this and have a few weeks ago bought my first explorer only to find out that its got load wrong with it. so I am now am going to sell that one so I can get a decent one. There are 2 I'm watching on eBay at the moment and was wondering if you could help me to decide which is the best deal? I really like the idea of LPG which the other one has but it has more on the clock. Here are the two listings...

1

1999
4008 engine
Ford Explorer North face edition
75k miles only, Tax til Nov MOT til March 2013

it recently had a service and a new front wheel hub and bearing, I bought a set of winter tyres for it last year so it has 4 excellent spares, 2 of which are on steel rims.
The tyres on it are barely a year old too.
It has all the usual north face edition stuff, full leather, cruise control, Air con, colour coded body, it has a touch screen stereo which wont play discs but can be hooked up to a reversing camera which is useful. the 6 disc changer in the boot is not connected as its a ford type.
It has quite a few scrapes and scratches, a few little dents that can be seen at the right angles that aren't showing up in the pics.
The only thing that doesn't work is the adjustment of the drivers seat, I never looked at getting it sorted as it is in the right place for me, and my wife drove it daily without a problem, shes 5'5" I have looked it up on net and it is fixable apparently i just havent got round to unbolting it.
This is a genuinly reluctant sale, I had no intention of selling it ( hence spending 700 pound this year alone ) but unforseen circumstances ( getting made redundant and kids going to a school further away )
We just cannot justify the running costs. The size of the boot is soo practical and it really is as safe as a tank, I really dont mind if it does not sell, its ready to take on the winter as the 4 wheel drive on these is like having traction control.
And the main reason i bought it was safety for my 2 young uns as this is undoubtedly one of the safest cars on the road.

I do not require a deposit, come and have a look, I wouldn't put a deposit on a car i havent looked at and expect anyone else to.

first 1800 takes it away, offers above 1400 will be looked at, above 1600 will be considered.

No 2.

Thank you for looking at this and I will be grateful for any advice so I don't buy another dud. :)

Is there anyway to look at them in person? I would never recommend buying a car site unseen. I've test drove cars that were total pieces of trash even though the seller told me they were perfect prior to me going to check it out.

Thank you for your message and Yes eI agree with you, the problem is that even if I look at them I might still buy a junk heap as I am not up on the things to look out for. Maybe I should ask people to let me know if they nth ink the price is fair for the spec at face value and the things to ask the seller about?
