How do i find out which transfer case do i have in my 2004 mercury mountaineer premeir awd

Call the dealer, parts department. Give them your Vin # and that will tell them all the spec's on your truck

go underneath the truck and look at the tag on the T-case. Its a little aluminum tag hooked on one of the case bolts. Since you have awd you only have the 1 speed transfercase. I can't remember the numbers.
