Which transmission do I have????

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a problem trying to figure out what transmission I have in my 95 explorer. I've narrowed it down to the A4LD or the 4R55E.
Some manuals say that the A4LD was in the 91-94 models and the 4R55E was in the 95-96 models. Others say the 95 has the A4LD, which one could it be?

I *believe* that for 95, the V-6 got the 4R44E and the V-8 got the A4LD. I could be wrong though.

Check the door tag for the transmission code, and check the tag on the trans itself. Both will have the info you desire.

Might want to add a capacity for the sport fuel tank too... The Sport only holds 15 gallons.
