So my buddy has an '04 Ranger with the 4.0 and the 5-speed auto.
I'm trying to figure out what transmission he has, he's having some shift flare and delayed reverse issues.
I've looked and all I know is that it is either the 5r55e or 5r55w. I'm going to set him up with a shift kit and an EPC and a couple other things to help him rebuild the valve body and fix his issues.
So, which one does it have?
After looking some more, it seems it should be the 5r55e since that is what Wittrans tells me and also the fact he has a dipstick should say something as well.
