Wanting an Explorer
Well I just got the new trader and there are some promising looking Explorers out there for some damn decent prices. I was originally planning on getting either a 93 or 94 cuz I heard they had like 10 more HP then 91's and 92's. But now after seeing how many 91's and 92's there are, I'm just wondering if theres actually a huge difference between them and the 93 and 94's. So does it really matter? Please reply soon as I'll be having to go and look at them tomorrow since everything sells so freakin fast around here.

actually the SOHC 2nd gens have 210 @ the flywheel, about 160-170 at the rear wheels

mo, but that is a differnt engine completely.... the 93s +94s had more hp than the 91-92s... don't know why, they just did.... i would say the best is the 94 -- here is my reasoning, has R134a from the factory, had most bugs worked out of the design.. also trannies in the 94ish explorers seem to not fail as much as the earlier ones (maybe ford finally fixed it) and the few more ponies than the 91-92... they also have a real 2 speed transfer case, including the ability to have 2wd or 4x4 hi and low and actual hubs allowing 4x2 low range if desired and equipped with manuals, and the venerable ford TTB suspension.....

true jim, but wasnt it only like 5 HP difference? i think thats what i heard
