1. I am confused as to where/how to use RTV silicone. I've read to use it in each of the four corners, I've read that there are several notches that make it obvious to where it should go (not obvious to me though!), I've read that it should follow the coolant ports, and I've read that it shouldn't be used at all (since it would interfere with the gasket sealing by causing uneven thickness and clamping distribution)
Could someone provide a conclusive answer as to WHERE exactly this goes (and does it go on the block/heads, or on the lower manifold?) I'm using the Victor Reinz set, if it makes a difference.
2. Does this camshaft look excessively worn?
3. Does this gasket appear to be a major concern?
Thanks in advance for feedback on any or all of the above.
