white smoke from oil valve

When i was driving my 94 explorer yesterday, i noticed white smoke was starting to come from hood. I hurried home, and the white smoke was coming from hose from oil valve. What may the cause of this be?

Are you talking about the breather hose from the oil fill tube (on the valve cover) which goes to the air intake tube?

Yes.. it was busted radiator hose.. dodged a bullet for engine problems. Decided to get major tuneup as rough idling at stop lights also. Winter had been rough on the truck, but mechanic said she will run for a long time as in good shape.
