Whenever my sunroof is open all the way back, the roof liner bounces around and hits the sunroof making a annoying rattling sound. Has anybody figured out a way to fix this?

Hey another member from Iowa.Welcome to the board:bounce:

Yep another Idiot Out Wondering About here!!

I don't understand the question. I assume electric sunroof. I don't understand "roof liner hitting sunroof". Are we talking headliner (the fabric)? Electric sunroof goes into roof, so how can anything hit it?
Silly questions I know, but I am confused!

Yes I am talking about the factory power moonroof. When it is slid back the roof liner bounces into the glass while it is retracted and makes a rattling noise. The wind makes the roof line bounce a little also.

Yeeeep.

Wait and see what happens if you mod the suspension......up or down...

You'll end up closing the cover all the time to keep it from rattling around - or fully open the shade....

Mine does that too. Mine also rattled when the whole mess was closed also till I took it apart and greased the tracks and motor.

Next time I'm home I've got to pull the glass and re-adjust it since it's not square in the opening like I thought it was so I've got a nice source of wind noise and I'll look down into the pocket to see what's up in there.

Funny bit of trivia. Apparently GM makes some parts for the sunroof/moonroof for Ford. Some of the trim that I took off had GM stamped on it with Ford part#s.

I too have the sunroof rattle (actually it is the sunroof shade that rattles). I looked as best I could but cant see a way to stop it without removing the headliner.... anybody figures this out PLEASE post.

Thanks
