I am currently having a custom prerunner bumper made by a guy in CA. He is thinking about selling them to the general public. He will be offering a standard model and custom upgrades. They will be made to fit stock or lifted 2nd gens and will come standard with a heavy duty skid plate and light tabs. Heim joints for extraa strength. If you're interested, post a reply. If I get a good response, I'll let him know and get you all in touch with eachother. The bumper below was around $500.00 including shipping.

Allright, so that looks like a kick ass bumper and I'd love to get something like that for my truck, sadly its a first gen though. But the comment about the heim joints for strength has me rather confused. Is the bumper supposed to move or something?

It's adjustable, so you can fit it perfectly and make last minute adjusments. He can make them for first gens too.

Interesting. Do you happen to have any pics of those joints? I'm curious to see where/how they are used. Thanks.

I don't right now, but I will in a week or so when it's on my truck!

Bracken53 ,
You can kinda see the heim joint ends on either side of the top of the skid plate. They'll act as adjustable supports which attach to the top of the frame rails on both sides. Make sense? This will allow for the final sit adjustment.

Cool, that should look awesome on your truck.

Good question, Yeah if he can make it with a winch mount I'm sold!
