I just ordered my Volant cold air intake system, Jet performance chips power control module, and a Gibson exhaust swept side for my truck. Cant wait for them to get here next week.

Sounds like your gonna be in business pretty soon. What made you choose the Jet chip over an SCT programmer?

No doubt. Volant and Gibson are premium products. So is SCT programming. Any chance at a refund?

Yea, I can't wait to put it all in. Some one said that the chip does not cancel your rev limiter. What do I have to buy to remove that horrible 96 mph. stop.

Return the chip and get a Bama Chips programmer. Money well spent!

I think I will just use what I have and if I decide it is not enough then I will ebay sell the chip and buy from somewhere else. I just up and decided to spend some money on my truck today so I did it with out consulting my fellow explorer forum guys for their opinion's first. I got the exhaust, chip, cold air intake, a passport 8500, and some nice new floor mats with Xplorer embroidered into them and some cleaning products. I think I will be satisfied with the performance products considering I am just looking for a little extra something for power. I have some 20's and 6-12's in the back which kind of take from my power due to the weight. I spent around 1,300.00 today on Autoanything.com

Seriously doubt that you will see any improvement with a Jet product.

Hey Aldive, Just To Let You Know. I Am Going Out On A Limb Here. I Trust You Know Alot Of Stuff About The Performance Part Of The Ex's. Soo You Will Be Glad To Know That I Ordered An Xcalibrator 2 For My Truck..........are We All Satisfied Now?

probably not, you might get a little bit but from what i've seen it's pretty pointless on a first gen, since the computer is obd1 there aren't that many things that can be changed.

Sounds good to me then.

little off topic, but what would you say you gain out of the X2?? HP and Tq and other goodies... I want one that I can switch easy between 87 and 91....

Ok. the gibson exhaust swept side is on. ooo it sounds good and you can feel the power too. I put the jet chip in for two days and said to hell with this thing. you were right aldive. unfortunately I threw away the box to the chip and have no way to send it back. so 250.00 down the drain. the sct programer....Xcalibrator 2...is awesome. it took off the rev limiter, speed limiter and adjusted some other stuff.... i just went on a road trip to pensacola florida from birmingham alabama and usually it takes me a tank and a half to get there on 87...well i made it there on three quarters of a tank in 93. hell yea... my intake should be here today. it was back ordered... and i met dude from bama chips at the world of wheels car show last weekend and he is going to put my truck on a dyno next weekend with the jet chip and then stock, then we are going to do it with his Xcalibrator and he is going to pay for it. we just have to know how much it really works...but it really does. also the radar detector that I got from passport..the 8500.......hooowee that thing is awesome. I can pick up a cop two miles in advance. i though it was broken or something the first time i used it because the thing started going off for a minute and i was like man this thing is just another radar going off for no reason on the interstate next to an exit...but noo about a mile further after it started to annoy me there was a cop on the right hand side using his radar....im in love. i went like 105 the whole trip to pensacola compliments of the programmer. and used the radar the whole way...saved my butt about three times. MONEY WELL SPENT. Aldive I appreciate the info on the tuner. I will post pics on my cardomain page in about two weeks and forward the link to this thread so everyone can see the stuff and dyno info.

I look foward to seeing your dyno data.

Doug is one hell of a tuner; you will be pleased.

Ok, update. I am sorry to inform everyone that me and Doug did not get a chance to get together because of his busy schedule and my packing and getting ready to leave to go back to Japan. So there was no Dyno time. However if you feel like it, anybody can take my truck and do it themselves...He he he. I am in Japan. Anyways, here is some updated pics.
