I personally used the sport trac BL and everything worked perfectly. I have an 01 sport. Heres a pic of the rear bumper

So strange. I wonder why there's a $100 price difference between the lift kits. Oh well, my GF order the ranger one for me this morning. No biggie.

go for the sport trac one, it costs more but saves some time. the bumpers were still a pain, there are some mods required for the sport and sport trac with the kit, there are a couple areas of metal that need to be cut out of the bumper, and the rear was definitely NOT a direct bolt on. there was drilling of new holes and so on. mine sits just about right, but not 100%. nobody can tell though.

Me: ...I'm not sure if it was Wes or Greg, but someone there told me that "there aren't lift kits for 2002 explorers because their unibody", and I should "go look under my truck", because "they've been doing this for years"

Greg@4x4parts.com: Actually 1995 to early 2000 were complete unibodies. After that, there were integrational complications that prevent and discourage manufacturers from producing a body lift for the 2001+ models.

wow was that guy on crack or what?!?! A guy selling parts should know whether or not a vehicle is a Unibody. Its almost like alot of people think that all SUVs are unibodys or something. I know Not to deal with that guy ever.

nevermind

:( I wrote my explorer off in the snow two days ago :( I'm pretty bummed; I really loved that thing.

Wow, that really sucks!

Hope you find another to replace it.

just great, after owning my Explorer for almost 14 years I now find out its a UNI BODY.... WoW, does that mean I am going to have to remove my bodylift?? I better call Greg.... Sounds like he is really on top of his A-Game.... It is unbelievable how much Bullshiddy the "experts" can shoot out.

Thermobulk,

I am sorry for your loss.
