I just got my car back from the body shop after a little mishap. I didnt ruin the radiator or the engine but my temp gauge is striaght up almost on the red. When I stop it will go back down between 1/2 and 3/4 way in about 2 minutes. When the gauge reads it is more than 3/4 way up the trans shifts hard from 2-3 and does some wierd downshift then upshift. I dont think its the thermostat..I am getting tons of heat into the car. I brought it to a garage and still waiting to hear from them. Could it be the sensor. I have a 99 X with SOHC engine. How hard is it to replace the sensor myself and where is it located.
