Has anyone experienced this before?
My tranny (Actually, my 2nd rebuild) leaks a bit of fluid out an O-ring on the top, right where the shift mechanism is (it's an automatic). Turns out the O-ring is subject to a lot of heat - especially in a vehicle with a body lift. anyhow - the new O-rings are teflon coated to take the heat better. If anyone runs into a similar problem, use the teflon O-rings.

Mine is leaking at the shift linkage also. Where did you get the teflon o-ring? Did the o-ring do the trick or did you also have to change the seal? I figured that mine was the seal and not as easy as just changing the o-ring so I never got the ambition to crawl under it to attempt the fix. Thanks, your help is greatly appreciated.

Rogo,
I sent mine to my mechanic because I thought it was going to be a big deal. Turned out to be a 10 minute job. Try calling Ford or NAPA - these are the two places my mechanic gets parts from...
