Wiggle in steering wheel?????????

the steering wheel on my 95 Ex is loose , if you put your hands at a 12 and 6 and move back and forth there is about a 1/2 inch of movement also there is a noise when turnin from the steering wheel that sounds like a spring being stretched.I plan on takin it apart to see whats going on but just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem so i can know what to expect or look for.

DO a search. This was just discussed last week or the week before that. Something about the intermediate shaft being replaced with an all metal version from an earlier X.
