Will headers for 4.0 mustangs work with the 4.0 explorer?

Hello, I have a 2005 V6 Explorer and I am looking to do a full exhaust system, headers and all. I was wondering if I could use headers intended for the 4.0 mustangs. I have looked at many headers for the explorer and the variety seems to be very bland and most just don't sound loud enough or good enough for my liking. I was planning on doing a slp loudmouth 1 setup and I am looking for some headers to complement the loudmouths. Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure they use the same short tube headers. Only difference is the y-pipe and back.

I'd go with short tubes 2 high flow cats loose the 3rd cat and pick a muffler you like the sound of the best

I've spend more than three nights on ebay trying to make heads/tails of what it takes to make a full system.

Do you have any brand reccommendations for the major pieces?

I don't have any brand recommendations for headers or cats just try to go with chrome or stainless.

The painted steel rusts easy
