Will it work?

Okay, I have a '95 xlt and want a in-dash cd player (only have a changer now) Will one from a newer explorer work? My girlfriend has a '00 limited and would like a deck like hers. What I want to know is will the changer still work? What deck should I be looking for? p/n's? I know I will have to rewire and won't be plug and play, thats fine. I just really want to keep the stock look.

Only a 95-97 will be a direct replacement unit. If you want one from a newer X you're better off just going aftermarket.

If you can find a decent one with changer controls cheap enough, you can get a couple of harnesses to addapt the the radio as long as no factory amplifiers are involved. Physically they should match up.
