will this transfercase work with my truck?

I have a 97 4.0 SOHC with a 5R55E transmission and the stock 4405 electric T-Case,

my friend has a 1354 Manual with the speed sensor hole, and Ujoint style front sitting in his garage...

Ive been reading around and im just looking to clarify that this will work.

so its a straight bolt on, just need to make a hole/boot for the shifter, and i need to get a front drive shaft from a 95/96?

Yep, you got it. That is all you need. Might want to add some RTV between the 1354 and the tranny to prevent leaks. You will also have to pull the bulb lights out of the dash for the 4WD lights unless the blinking doesn't bother you.

I'll add that when I did mine, I didn't use RTV between them and had no leaks, also didn't get the blinking lights. Of course YMMV.
