So today I was replacing the lower intake gasket on my 98 5.0 explorer. I found a crack thru my thermostat coolant passage and now it needs to be replaced. I found a complete intake on craigs list for a 95 cobra, but it has the tapped bosses for the ACT and the rear coolant passage on the rear passangers side of the intake. Can I plug these bosses with a brass plug and use these? the pick and pulls around here empty fast of the 5.0's, so I have limited options. I take it they are identical besides these points. Any feedback would be appreciatted
