Will trans from 98-ex 4.0 OHC fit in 98-ex 4.0 OHV?

Will the trans from a Overhead cam 4.0 fit into the same year 4.0 OHV cologne? I heard the transmissions are different, I can obtain a trans from a Overhead cam 4.0 but won't buy it unless I know for sure it will fit. Thanks

The V6 transmission are the same. Up to 2000 I believe is when they added a sensor.

i actually put a trans from a 2001 into my 2000 .we just didnt use that sensor port .(as my 2k has no plug in the harness for that sensor)
its a internal speed sensor that they started using in 2001 to make it shift nicer .
