window motor problem help

well it started. the same stuff that started with my dads exploDER!!! the engine will run to infinity but the damn electronics and less important **** all start going.... first my door started sticking really bad, so bad i had to put my shoulder into it, fixed that. now my next problem is my driver side front window. when i push the button to go up or down i hear the motor working, and see the window move lightly but the motor just keeps on working and window goes nowhere. i have to push up or down on the window glass itself while holding the button to get the window to work. how do i fix this

pretty sure it's the bushings in the motor if you can hear it trying to put the window up. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=233353
that's for the first gen, but i don't think the window motors are any different. might be wrong though
