From closed position, all the way up, it will move down about two inches, then rotate counterclockwise a few degrees, then jam. It will move back up to the closed position.

I've replaced the drive bushings on two other doors previously using the excellent directions in the Sticky post. But this problem presents differently. What should I be expecting when I take off the door panel for inspection?

Please advise.

I'd suspect that one of the 2 points where the glass is attached to the "clips" on the regulator has come "unglued". It can be repaired, but I forget what kind of epoxy I used when mine did that a few years back. Good luck with it!

Thanks for the replies. As usual, members of this forum provide great help.
I was suspecting something like this because when I pull up on the window when jammed, it freely moves up then drops back down when released to the jammed position.
Before it started jamming, the window moved very, very slowly. I'm thinking that there may have been friction on the glass that caused it to break away.

I will report back as to what I find and am able to do.

Also when I am in there, are there particular points where I should be applying lubrication?

So here it is almost four years later and I finally tore into it yesterday and found the problem. It was an easy fix.
With the door panel off and the switch removed from the panel, I was able to observe the movement when I grabbed the glass and pulled up and down. I saw the three motor bolts move up and down a little. The motor was just a little loose. I also noticed that the glass was firmly glued in place, so that was NOT the problem.
I tightened the three bolts and the window worked perfectly, just like it did when I replaced the bushings over four years ago.
So, when you replace the motor, I advise that you re-tighten the three bolts maybe five times over ten minutes. I found that for some reason two of them could take a little more turning for three more times. If those bolts loosen, even slightly, you may have window problems like I did.
