Try spraying some WD-40 down there.

My drivers side window just started doing the same thing.

Bang on your belt moulding that is the one about the higth of your belt ( if you are 7 foot tall ) it goes on the top of your door , left to right. You know the one I mean. Give that a bang down ward. Your hand a rubber mallet , what ever. My Ex has done that a few times. Wap , problem gone. I promise !!

silicone spray works too... the mechanic for mercedes benz told me to do it and it works pretty good..

Toad,

It's a bit of a guess, but I believe that on each window, there is a small horizontal metal bar with felt riveted to it, on the outer side. It's about .5 in wide and 1.5 in long. What might be happening is that the felt portion wears away, leaving the two metal rivets to work away at scratching away the glass. It did this to my Taurus, and my xploder now on the right rear passenger window. It's about midway along the window, and I think about 3 or 4 inches below the moulding. Wedge the rubber back and have a look with a flashlight. If they are there, you may get away with ripping them out before they demolish your glass.

If that's not it, good ol' silicone spray in the window guides would be the other option.

Good Luck!
