get it professionally done if you've done it before, and get a lifetime warranty against peeling/fading/etc. i got my whole truck done for 160ish, with the full warranty.

I agree, have it professionally done.
Nothing looks worse than a bad tint job.
I'd also find out what the legal limits on tinting are in your area. (the go just beyond them)

ive done it myslef, and on nice flat windows, it is real easy to do a good job, if you have patience. but unfortunatly, all windows on an explorer are bent in both directions, so none of them are easy. id go with a professional job. it will actually be cheaper than doing it yourself if you figure in the amount of wasted tint that you WILL destroy the first time you do it ;)

Here is what I have done:

Go to your local tint shop, talk to the tinter (not the front-desk person), get his phone number, give him a call and he would come out and do your tinting for you @your place (or similar) for 1/2 the price, and still make more than 15 bucks/hour that he is getting over at the shop.

Trick is to find the expirienced guy that you simply would not have to worry about the warranty and ****z like that. Down here in Alberta tinting is 300 CND for all windows (shop), and 130-170 if the guy does it off-time.

Huge difference...

Also, tinting yourself is not complicated either, you just have to invest in a 20 dollar spunge and make templates to cut the film near the window edge, heat gun does miracles on curved surfaces!
