This is what happens when I go on vacation and my Explorer sits for awhile. My first drive in it after coming back, I roll down the driver's side window and then it won't work. Then I try turning on the front wipers and they won't work either.
I traced the window problem to the motor itself, and thanks to previous threads, I removed it and it is ready for a replacement.
Turns out the wiper problem is also the motor, but I'm not too sure about removing it. Looks straightforward with the mounting bolts, wire harness, and ground strap, but what about the wiper linkage? Is there some sort of clip, and how do I access it? Does anyone have any instructions that would apply to a '93 Explorer?
Thanks for any help! I'll be heading to the junkyard later today or tomorrow for replacements.
