I just realized my wiper blades are shot! Is it hard to replace them? What kind is the best?

Not difficult at all, but since you have a concern, go to a name brand auto parts store, have them find the ones for your vehicle, play dumb at the checkout about how to install them.

Bet there is some guy standing in line or in the store that the counter people know and is one who just likes cars and showing his or her skill.

They will put them on for you and feel good about it.

There are still people in this world who do like to help others.

I have found Bosch blades to work best for me. Here in Florida, the sun takes a heavy toll on blades, I replace mine several times a year.

Good luck....

Whatever blades you get, make sure the thing is made of metal. We've got plastic wipers here on sale because people don't want them t rust and they're cheaper than the metal ones. Boy do they suck.
The heavier weight of the metal wipers prevents them from chattering.

I use the Bosch Micro edge excel blades and they are great! You can even upgrade to 21" blades for more cleaning coverage

are those twin blades that they sell at wal-mart any good? it seems like a good idea. kinda like 2 blades on a razor works better than 1. anyone have any experience with the twin blade wipers?

all out bosch micro edge. they are the best blades i've seen they work excellent and get EVERYTHING clean

ooh yeah

nowadays they sell the whole arm .....no more sliding the crap off and on.... most of the time (especially when you need them) if you do get the slide on type ...when you go you use them they are sliding off as you swipe.....what a PIA in a rainstorm....

Where can I get the Boush? are they the slide on's or are they the whole arm

Karol

they are slide on's and a lot of places sell them go to any auto parts store and they should have them

The Bosch are the entire peice. Karol means the actual bubber blades slide on, the Bosch's dont work that way.

I've always used the Bosch blades, recently tried Anco's AeroVantage, they're crap.

Stick with Bosch.

the double bladed walmart ones are ok.... they work for about 3-4 months and do a pretty good job in my experience

wats the part number of those blades?

Just go to an Auto parts store, go to the Wiper Blade section, and look for the "Bosch Micro Edge Excel", size 18 or higher as some have mentioned.

Twin blades might look cool (or they did when I was still in high school at least) but functionally, they're a waste of money.

Bosches are nice, but they're a lot of extra money, and in my experience, no better than OE.

The OE blades seemed to last better than anything I've found (IMHO). I've also discovered that the OE blades are made by Trico, without the trico stamp on them. Auto Zone and Advance Auto both carry Trico. They're cheaper than the OE and Bosch blades, last just as long, and are refillable with just the rubber inserts. They're also the only ones I've found that will match the coutour of the rear window as well as the OE ones.

Just my .02
