ok i have my old regular tape player out and i have the new 2002 pioneer premier ready to be installed and on the wires there is the yellow wire that says battery and i am not sure what wire connects with what because the orginal power wires that are in my truck now are not the exact color that would match up because usually you would match up red which is always your hot wires to the battery and now on my cd player the wire is yellow so i was wondering if anyone knows what the orginal wires that are in explorers connect to my explorer is a 91 so if anyone has any info it would be greatly needed thank you

i think yellow is 12v+ constant and red is 12v+ ign switched

wouldnt the two thickest wires be or positve and negative wires because the black and the red are the two largest wires on my power wires in my truck do u know the rest of the sources each wire gives out?

t oto the store and get the wiring harness adapter... it is way easier that way.....even if you splice and dont use the adapter you will have the instructions and the adapters show what color goes where
