Wiring a rearview mirror

I just order a auto-dimming auto lamp mirror for my 1992 explorer sport from a junk yard. What I was wondering is if anyone can tell me how to wire this thing when it comes? Thanks

well it will probably just have power wires and maybe some headlight wires cause they have the auto lamp feature too...which wont work unless you wire up a relay that bypasses the headlight switch on the dash.

The Auto Dimming Mirror (Pre 1995) Is only used on the 1993-1994 Limited Edition Explorers. The limited Edition Explorers used a COMPLETELY different wiring harenss compared to the EB's ans XLTS.
The Auto Delay/Auto on lights uses a different headlight switch and relay circuit. You need to get ahold of a wiring diagram for a LTD Explorer to make this work.

Personally, I installed a Auto Dim/Auto Delay/Auto On mirror and overhead console on my 1991 XLT, but then again......... I used a complete wiring harness out of a 1994 Limited in my entire truck.
