2004 Explorer, using 2004 Ford Wiring diagrams, I'm finding incorrect color codes in places where no man other than the factory could have gone. I have the Battery Junction Box lifted out and turned sideways, cover removed, viewing fuse connections from under them.
Problem is a nasty recurring CEL for one O2 sensor "Heater Resistance". Cannot verify correct conductor which feeds the heater. One problem is that TWO different explanations exist for the "scheme" used to ID the sensors. Diagrams call them "11, 12, 21, and 22".
Some sources say the first number is the bank, right or left, others say it's the location, upstream or downstream of the CAT. Wiring diagrams do not define it.
Does anybody know, for certain? Thanks! imp
