Hey all, first post, i plan on posting in the New Members Forum soon. Mostly I've been dying to get this question answered, and after scouring the internet for what feels like forever I'm no closer than when i started.
So here goes. I'm piecing my system together in a 96 eddie with no sub factory. I've got pioneer 6/9's wired in the doors no problem and a stock head unit. A friend gave me two mtx 7500s and a sony xplode 600 watt amp. When i tried to tap into the wires on the factory amp or whatever that thing is passenger side rear wheel well, I cant get sound from it am I using the wrong wires? I cant find anything that will let me know what colors are what, all I need to do is pick up some sort of signal from there to go to my sub, I've wired many systems and usually just tap into whatever speaker, throw in a crossover and bam! i got great sound. Only this time I do it and my rear speaker goes grainy and little no sound to the sub.
I'm hoping someone can tell me how to get a clear signal without having the replace the H/U. I plan on replacing it eventually i know i have to, but I dont want to wait till i get the money to buy an aftermarket H/U to hook up the subs.
Hoping someone can help-
