Hey guys; I'm throwing in some polk dx7's and decided to run new 15 gauge wiring so I wouldn't have to splice onto the factory stuff. My amp will be under the rear passenger seat. So far, I have been able to run the wire with a little difficulty, but when I came to the driver's door, the solenoid shaped thing in the jam stumped me completely. How do I pull this off? Thanks.

I ran into the same issue!, my friend who owns a Car Audio shop said that you have to drill out and make your own passage. I know exact what you mean by that junction box, its like a giant plug if you dissassemble it, and it couples the wiring for that whole door panel, electric windows/locks etc. He ended up drilling a small hole in the door jam, and ran it through, put some rubber grommets, and some wire loom over the wire to protect it from the elements, plus i used some Thickly insulated monster cable speaker wire.

The way I do it at work is to disasemble the plug and look for a area that has no pinsin the plug. I then carefully drill out a hole in both sides of the plug that will line up when the plug is put back together. I run my wires through and reassemble the plug. It takes me about a hour to do this at work and charge about $50. Doing it this way avoids putting hole in the door jam and door.
