2000 Ford Explorer
I bought a 2000 Explorer XLS. The guy I bought it from smoked & has never cleaned the truck for the 8 years he owned it. Cloth seats & manual. The local salvage yard has decent carpet & a complete nice set of pwr seats. Did Ford use 1 harness on all trucks? In other words when I lift the carpet for replacement might I find plugs for the power seats or should I just put the seats on my tracks? I have also found the console with the rear HVAC setup. How difficult is it to install making all components operational?

the harness for the seats should be there. if not, and they are not memory seats, its just a simple two wire connector (power and ground). as for the console, putting that in is easy, you need it, and the bracket that goes onto the floor. wiring the heater, and radio is another thing all together
